A short, highly curated Dallas shortlist, the few things I'd actually leave the house for. A new list every Thursday.
North Dallas · Oct 24–25, 2026
Sat · Partly cloudy60–85°Sun · Mostly cloudy58–82°
Warm and dry all weekend (checked Oct 22): no rain in the forecast either day, highs in the low to mid 80s, and evenings settling into the high 50s and low 60s. Summer rules for the afternoon, a light layer after dark.
The one I'd choose
Sat · 10 AM to 10 PM · Pat Green headlines at 8:30 PM
Oktoberfest Dallas
Flag Pole Hill, Dallas · The full day, done right. Brats and pizza, beer and wine, a market village, a kid zone, a keg tapping and a stein holding contest, with George Dunham and the Bird Dogs and Drew Cooper warming up the stage before Pat Green closes the night. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, and the kid zone wraps at 6 PM, so families get the day shift and the music crowd gets the night.
$25 adults in advance, $30 on the day; kids $12.50 in advance, $15 on the day
One man, a loop pedal and a stadium full of people singing every word. He is touring the new album Play, and the Arlington stop is the big room version. Tickets from around $40 on resale. Budget the drive, Arlington on a concert night is its own event.

Sunday afternoon wine tasting on the lawn at City Hall Plaza, downtown. A slower close to the weekend than Saturday deserves, and the mostly cloudy forecast actually helps this one. From $41.

Nothing in this filter this weekend, try another mood.
Plan around the warm afternoon.
No rain is coming to save you from the heat, so treat the outdoor picks like summer, not fall. Do the Brew Festival and Oktoberfest with water and sunscreen in hand, grab shade when you can, and know that everything gets better after sunset: both evenings land in the high 50s and low 60s, which is perfect block party and stadium weather with one light layer.
