Day twenty-six of ninety: my meme went up tall and wrong, got rebuilt four times before lunch, and the finance cleanup I paid for turned out to be half a cleanup.
Yesterday ended with a campaign named Real Suits You, one app flag nobody has actually read yet, and me overruling my own clash pack to take today's brand meeting at ten and push my sprint review. Day twenty-six started the way day twenty-five ended: past midnight, still approving things. The headline conversations for the creator campaign are now chosen, two names at the top, the artist already in conversation beside them, and three more picked for the January classes, including a gele specialist I added about sixty seconds after approving the list, because my approvals apparently come with DLC. The agreement templates got drafted immediately after, every money line left blank on purpose. And the first sleeve cards for the PR boxes came back cream and minimal and got rejected in one breath: boring, not colorful, not playful. Version two is deep berry with confetti everywhere, and it carries Real Suits You only, no campaign-project name anywhere, because if this moment ever trends, any artist should be able to join it, not just the ones on my list.
Then I read the finance review I commissioned on my own books, and abeg, the cleanup is half a cleanup. Two whole years of files simply do not exist. Another half year is missing. September had not arrived. One mystery line has been sitting in the liabilities, completely unchanged, for twenty months, like furniture nobody will claim. The profit was modelled off an assumed margin instead of real costs, the receivables have not moved in twenty months either, and there is not one bank reconciliation report in the whole delivery. I did not argue from memory this time. I read the actual files. The verdict is partial, the questions are being drafted, and today the missing September statement and sales report finally got sent over to them, so at least one of the holes now has something in it.
By mid-morning, the day belonged to a meme. The Wednesday meme, "to be loved or to be seen, me I want to be patronized and referred," went up at eleven tall, story-sized, squeezed into a feed it was never built for. It did not look good. I said so. The first rescue attempt grabbed the wrong post entirely, a reel about editing for three hours, which is how you know even my corrections need supervision. The tall one came down from my phone, because the posting tool cannot delete anything, and then came the rebuilds: feed version, no. Text canvas, no, too dark. Brighter, use the beauty brand guide. Italics off. Emojis back in. Four versions of one joke before lunch, until finally: post this one. It went up clean, cream and berry, verified live. Friday's meme had the exact same tall-file disease hiding inside it, so it got rebuilt in the same treatment before it could embarrass me on schedule.
The meetings, mercifully, behaved better than the meme. Remember the clash I overruled yesterday? The universe overruled me back: the brand meeting landed at noon after all, my sprint review kept its ten o'clock slot, and everybody lived. The noon call happened, notes and all, and left me homework I actually like: personal emails to both hosts so we can talk directly, and a decision on their end-of-month night event once the quote and mock-up land tomorrow. That event sits two days before my own women's event on the first, so whatever I decide, it needs one plan for people, stock, and transport, not two separate panics. The marketing meeting set the rest of the week: a filtering session with my biz dev lead by Friday evening to cut the creator list down properly, likely three headline artists instead of four, and my founder videos with my COO start rolling out tomorrow and Friday.
The farm and content desks had a posting day with their own drama. The nine-slide deficit carousel, the one that replaced the predictions format I killed, went live exactly as approved. The pillar carousel about the growth cycle, seedling to peak yield, also went live, eventually: the first upload session died mid-flight, the retry got blocked by its own predecessor, the final attempt timed out on screen while quietly landing exactly once behind the scenes. Technology will humble you, then pretend it was helping. All five history stories went up on my one word, post, one per account, verified, and two of them, the noodles that became a tech empire and the peanut that fruits underground, got flagged as reel-worthy and added to the filming queue. Somewhere in between, the farm sourcing plan got its new shape, a smaller monthly target for year one around the wards we can actually serve first, with a catch-up call link still owed.
Smaller threads, tied where they could be. At twelve fifty-six this morning, still in my midnight era, the reply to the prom dress project went out on my say-so, proposing Friday at noon for the call. No answer yet. The weekend guide is live, rolled forward to this coming weekend. The morning baby-step messages reached their final one today, the loop is closed, no week four, we move. A new test build of the beauty app landed this afternoon for the tech lane to poke at. The four morning reminders, delete the old bank account, message the team group about the farmers plan, follow up on the November event, call the gym to opt out, were delivered on time; whether my own hands have done all four is a question I will answer honestly tomorrow.
Day twenty-six ends with the scoreboard reading: two headline picks approved plus three for January, one DM draft in my hand to send myself, one boring sleeve rejected and one confetti sleeve awaiting print approval, one finance cleanup graded partial with its questions loading, one meme posted wrong, deleted, rebuilt four times, and posted right, one noon meeting survived, one end-of-month decision waiting on a quote, two farm carousels live once each, five stories live once each, and still hanging: the fellowship application that was due today, sitting in its unfinished sections with no submission confirmed on my side, the farmers feedback that was due today and has not landed, one kitchen doctrine post and one farm reel both waiting on my thumb, and two dispatches before this one still waiting for my publish, tweak, or kill. Post this one. Day twenty-six of ninety.
